This graphic novel is divided into two parts: My Father Bleeds History and And Here My Troubles Began. The way the story is told, it's about Art interviewing his father about the Holocaust: this allows the reader to get glimpses of Art and his dad's lives after the Holocaust. This gives us an idea of how the Holocaust affected not only the survivors, but also their children and possibly their grandchildren, too.
The story is both about Art's dad's experiences of the Holocaust and Art's difficult relationship with his elderly father. I think this was a very enlightening book, a very original way of telling people about the Holocaust.

This was the first graphic novel that I read, and I thought it was amazing!
I also liked the format it was presented in, with the father-son dynamic.
